About the Center

Our Mission

Our Lady of Bethesda Retreat Center is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing retreats for men and women 16 years and older. All retreats are under the direction of the Legionaries of Christ.

Spiritual Exercises

The Spiritual Exercises, our most popular retreat, touch upon many important aspects of the spiritual life. The central principle is the imitation of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. They are an essential tool in the revitalization of the Church because through them each man and woman is encouraged to live as a more active Catholic in daily and parish life. The Center offers directed meditations and conferences, as well as, opportunities for confession and spiritual direction with the Legionaries of Christ priests, the retreat directors. Throughout the year, Spiritual Exercises for men and women run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.

Monthly Reflections

For shorter, more frequent retreat experiences, we offer monthly mornings and evenings of reflection.

Our Location

The retreat center is located on 4.7 acres in downtown Bethesda, providing a quiet environment for reflection and prayer. The facilities include 39 single retreat rooms with sink and half bath, showers, dining room for 80, meeting and conference rooms, reception room and chapel.
